We can arrange your wedding in more than 30 exotic countries worldwide. Some destinations, such as the Maldives, don’t offer weddings, but are perfect for renewing your vows or a romantic honeymoon.
The average cost of a Pinnacle Worldwide wedding overseas, including an exotic honeymoon, is normally £4000 - £6000. This is a small cost compared to the average UK wedding. Remember, our expert Weddings Abroad and Honeymoon team will oversee all the arrangements. Some Pinnacle Worldwide weddings are even free!
After booking your hotel and flights, one of our expert Weddings Abroad and Honeymoon team will be your day-to-day contact, liaising with the resort’s wedding co-ordinator and helping answer all of your questions.
The majority of our weddings are conducted by a marriage officer whose title varies depending upon resort, for example a celebrant, minister or registrar. Where it’s possible to be married by a minister, the ceremony will be non-denominational unless otherwise stated.
Yes, your wedding will be registered in the country it takes place and is then legally recognised in the UK. If you’re not a permanent UK resident, check with your local authorities. Some Pinnacle Worldwide weddings, such as those held in Thailand and Bali, are only available for British passport holders.
These vary from country to country but, in general, you must be over 20 years of age. You’ll need your British or Irish passports, original copies of your birth certificates and documentation regarding a previous marriage if you’re widowed or divorced. Full details will be supplied at the time of booking.
Yes, just let us know and we’ll try to change your date. If we’re able to, there’s a £25 charge for each date change to cover administration costs. To cancel a wedding, charges are as follows:
Yes. Simply let us know and we can book holidays for them. If the wedding couple is staying at an all inclusive resort, guests staying at other hotels will need to buy a one-day pass to attend the ceremony. Numbers and age restrictions may apply. If guests cancel, cancellation charges may apply.
We recommend that wedding outfits are packed in a hard suitcase or boxed, and placed in the hold of the aircraft. There’s usually no extra baggage allowance for wedding outfits. Make sure everything is clearly labelled and that you tell check-in staff you’re carrying wedding outfits.
In most destinations, your wedding ceremony can be conducted Monday to Friday, excluding local holidays. In Las Vegas, you can marry 365 days a year.
Yes, just bear in mind that this could change in unusual circumstances - for example if the celebrant has to change schedule or there are adverse weather conditions. Please be aware of this if gifts, stationary and jewellery show your wedding date.
Generally, your ceremony will take place in your hotel’s gardens. The hotel wedding co-ordinator will show you the locations you can choose from. You can often have photos taken on the beach after your ceremony. If your wedding is booked to take place in a public area, this will be re-confirmed with you while you are on holiday, subject to local regulations.
Wedding prices are per couple, per wedding, and all items included will be confirmed at the time of booking. Free weddings may not always include the same items as paid-for weddings, and are not usually combined with hotel special offers.
After you’ve booked your holiday, we’ll send you a questionnaire asking for all the information we need to arrange your wedding. Please list any optional extras or special requests that you require. You may want more wine, a larger wedding cake or perhaps extra buttonholes, which can be paid for at the resort. We’ll include a list of guide prices and you can re-confirm all the details with the wedding co-ordinator when you arrive.
Yes. This often takes up half a day. It might be carried out away from the hotel and, in some cases, our weddings don’t include transfers to the relevant offices, so taxis/transfers may be payable locally.
If you’re getting married in a tropical climate, we recommend a wedding dress in a cool natural fabric and a light-coloured suit in cotton or linen for the groom. Weddings in Thailand may require both the bride and groom to respect certain traditions in terms of clothing.
Most hotels can arrange for your wedding outfits to be pressed; and many have beauty facilities. Alternatively, the hotel’s wedding co-ordinator will usually have a list of hair stylists, make-up artists, photographers and videographers. Flowers can be arranged with your co-ordinator when you arrive.
Yes. Take the original marriage certificate to your solicitor, who will certify copies for you – or you can request an additional copy from the marriage officer in resort. In some destinations, overseas authorities complete paperwork after the wedding has taken place. Generally, your original marriage certificate will be sent to you within four months.
