Uncrowded, stylish and comfortable, Crystal Symphony offers an upmarket experience on a mid-size ship, carrying 1,000 passengers. Most passengers are American. Food is varied and of a high standard. Service is excellent and there are no on-board announcements.

Deck Area

The ship has 8 decks and also offers adequate amount of open deck space for sunbathing and 2 outdoor pools. The Crystal Deck features Crystal Plaza, Crystal Cove, Crystal Dining Room and a medical centre. Tiffany Deck houses Galaxy Lounge, Caesars Palace, Hollywood Theatre, The Facets, Captain’s Choice, Apropos, Bistro, dance floor, library, Starlight Club, Vintage Room, bar, Jade Garden Restaurant, Computer University, The Studio, Prego Restaurant, Avenue Saloon, Bridge Lounge and a photo shop. The Lido Deck features Palm Court, Waves, stage, Fantasia and Seahorse Pool, Trident Bar & Grill, Ice Cream Bar, Lido Café and Gardens.

The Sun Deck accommodates the Wimbledon Court, golf, sauna, Crystal Salon, Crystal Spa, fitness centre and aerobics studio. The on-board leisure facilities include a show lounge, cinema, casino, Internet centre and a library. The on-board spa, sauna and salon offer a variety of treatments to rejuvenate the cruisers. Recreational facilities include a Jacuzzi, fitness centre, golf putting green, golf driving range, paddle tennis and table tennis. Classes on aerobics, yoga and Pilates are also organised. Children`s play room is the main facility for kids. In-room baby sitting facilities can also be availed by paying a nominal fee.

Cabins

Crystal Symphony has 461 cabins, ranging from interior cabins to Crystal Penthouse Suites. The size of a Crystal Penthouse Suite is 79 sq metres. The cabins are 19 sq metres in size. There are 204 cabins which provide an ocean view and 276 cabins have a balcony. All cabins have standard amenities such as a queen-size bed convertible to 2 twin beds, a sitting area, a safe, TV and DVD player, refrigerator, ample storage space and private veranda. 

The Crystal Penthouse Suite has a king-size bed, dining area, living room, bedroom, walk-in wardrobe, bidet, guest bathroom, separate shower, master bath with Jacuzzi, cordless telephone, data port to connect a laptop computer and a butler service. There are wheelchair cabins for disabled cruisers.

Entertainment

The Galaxy Lounge stages popular production shows and other performances during the evenings. The on-board entertainment activities include performances by classical musicians, Broadway vocalists, pop singers, comedians, jugglers, ventriloquists, instrumentalist and other renowned performing artists. Starlite Room is a nice spot to dance after dinner. Crystal Cove lounge is a great place to have pre-dinner cocktails and enjoy music. Avenue Saloon features jazz performances by pianists. 

The Hollywood Theatre shows old classic films as well as popular recent releases. It also is also well equipped with devices for the hearing-impaired. A huge collection of free movies can also be borrowed from the video library. Caesars Palace at Sea casino features blackjack tables, craps, mini-baccarat, roulette wheel and 115 slot machines. Only cruisers above the age of 21 years are permitted to enter the gaming areas involving money. Computer University@Sea provides access to the Internet and offers other useful courses. A separate fee is charged for accessing the internet. 

The Facets is a sophisticated area to shop for custom made jewellery, collectables and other well-renowned gifts. Perfumes, cosmetics and formal wear for both men and women can be purchased at the Apropos. Captain`s Choice is a great spot to shop for signature apparel, casual wear for men, confectionery and other personal care products. The Crystal photo shop helps passengers capture memorable moments by offering facilities such as sale of film, cameras, renting video cameras and digital processing.

Dining

The ship has a wide range of dining options.

• Crystal Dining Room is the main dinning venue which offers open sitting arrangements during breakfast and lunch. Flexible seating is offered during dinner. 
• Prego is a Venetian-style specialty dinning restaurant which serves dinner without any additional charge.
• Silk Road and the Sushi Bar is a Japanese-styled restaurant created by Nobuyuki "Nobu" Matsuhisa. The décor is Asian inspired; the menu is Japanese with a Peruvian and European twist. Speciality restaurants are free but a small per person gratuity is recommended. 
• Morning pastries and afternoon snacks are served in the Bistro.
• Lido Café provides buffet-style breakfast and lunch. Both indoor as well as outdoor seating arrangements are available. 
• Custom-cooked burgers, sandwiches, wraps, hot dogs and grilled chicken are served in the Trident Bar & Grill.
• The Palm Court offers afternoon tea. 
• The ice cream bar offers frozen yogurt, ice cream, freshly baked cookies and sherbets. 

Casual dressing is preferred during the day. The dress code followed during the evenings is smart casual. A suit or dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies is recommended on formal evenings. Room service is available 24-hours a day.

Suitability

Crystal passengers like the finer things in life: good service, varied food and a luxurious experience on board a ship that also has plenty to do.  

Hints & Tips

Tips are not included. 15% gratuity is added to drinks bill. There is no charge for fitness classes. There is a computer-learning centre on board. For a special dining experience, a handful of passengers can have a wine-tasting dinner in a private room. Reservations are necessary. A butler service operates in the top suites. Male hosts are on board to provide dance partners for lone female travellers.
